| Based in
North Shields on the river Tyne, Lilley and Gillie
have a proud history in the marine industry. Established
almost 200 years ago Lilley and Gillie are one of
the leading suppliers of nautical equipment and instruments,
as well as paper and electronic charts in the marine
industry today. As an International Admiralty Chart
Agent (IACA), Lilley & Gillie offers an outfit
management service covering all British Admiralty
and US charts, all nautical publications and ISM auditing
documentation.
Lilley and Gillie is one of the few remaining magnetic
compass manufacturers in Europe and provides a full
repair and on-board adjusting service. Its considerable
product range also includes nautical instruments and
equipment including Walker Marine range of wind equipment,
speed logs and autopilot systems and the Chernikeeff
range of naval speed log equipment.
Lilley and Gillie also provides a supply and updating
service for Admiralty
Raster Chart Services (ARCS) and Electronic
Navigational Charts (ENC), ensuring that vessels
always have on board the most up-to-date charts, publications
and data for the areas in which they operate.
Lilley and Gillie are part of a larger group including
Walker Marine Instruments, PC
Maritime, DPM (UK
and Singapore)
and Charente.
Incidently their 50% holding share in PC
Maritime makes Lilley and Gillie one of only two
companies in the world to have the in-house expertise
and complete product range to assist customers in
carrying out the transition from Paper to Digital
charts.
