Above and Below Being used on a 30-station network in a Ductch maritime college, Navmaster ECDIS for Training is straight forward to install and operate.
It is an ideal resource for organisations developing courses to IMO Model Course 1.27 and additionally enables students to both prepare and execute passages; routes can be prepared at college and then carried out onboard a training ship.
Our Navmaster ECDIS training system allows us to take classes of 24 students at once, making the teaching process far less time-consuming. We train approximately 60 of our own students during the third and fourth term of their second year, although in future student students willuse ECDIS form the beginning. In addition, we take students from other scholls in groups of about 14-20 every week.
The classroom is available to students most of the time. Outside of their lectures we see students working with Navmaster; and students returning form their 6-month practical period use the system frequently for preparation and presentation
