Official-Sub-Distributors (OSDs) are independent companies that are supplied with UKHO products by Lilley & Gillie. The OSDs have their operational procedures audited at regular interval by Lilley & Gillie and their appointment is approved by the UKHO. This helps to ensure clients of the OSDs receive the quality of UKHO product that is expected.
The Lilley & Gillie OSDs are in a unique position in that they have online access to Lilley & Gillie's well proven Chart Outfit Managment Service. This enables a Lilley & Gillie OSD to offer a unique service to its local clients utilising one of the most successful systems for ensuring each vessel in a fleet only uses charts and publications that are up to date and of the latest edition. Both the OSD and its clients have online access to Ship's indexes, Delivery Notes, Despatch details and audition facilities.
