Cooking School at Le Manoir

Information and prices

An event at Le Manoir is a unique experience and one unlikely to
be forgotten. Raymond Blanc has created a haven where food, comfort
and service combined with attention to detail provides an
environment that is both warm, friendly and informal. Raymond
Blanc’s success at Le Manoir is unique, combining the
achievement of two Michelin stars for his cuisine, with top ratings
in all the international hotel guides. Le Manoir has achieved the
highest awards and accolades of any restaurant and country house
hotel in Great Britain and is regarded as one of the very best in
Europe.

The cookery days take place in the specially designed
cookery school kitchen, using domestic equipment. Guests arrive for
coffee and biscuits and are then welcomed by Nurdin
Topham, the Cookery School Head Tutor, or by his colleague,
Vladimir Niza. Chef’s jackets are handed out to everyone and
they are put in to pairs for the day.  During the morning,
guests both watch demonstrations and cook, usually students will
cook their lunch during the morning and in the afternoon cook
desserts. The day will end with tea and lemon cake, when all guests
receive a certificate.
