Information and prices

Fly fishing has many dimensions; the craft of casting, the
knowledge of the fishes diet (entomology), the skill of catching
and landing fish and all set in beautiful surroundings. Fishing is
a wonderful antidote to the stresses of contemporary life. It is
acknowledged as one of the most successful forms of corporate
entertaining; learning new skills, getting back to our roots and

River Test Package

For 2007 exclusive fishing at two beautiful lakes fed by the
fabled river Test near Stockbridge in Hampshire have been reserved.
The venue suits beginners trying fly fishing for the first time and
provides challenges for more experienced fishermen. It is easily
accessible yet beautifully set in protected, glorious Hampshire
countryside.

The organisation and guiding is conducted by Bryan Brown and
John Horsey. Bryan a lifelong fisherman is a specialist on the
world famous southern chalk streams; the Test, Itchen, Avon and
tributaries. He has fished these rivers for 30 years and knows the
owners and keepers which enables access. John is one of the
established leaders in international fly fishing. He has been a
full time professional guide for 12 years and has guided and taught
fishermen extensively in the UK, Europe, USA and Australia. He is
an innovator, his skills have been tested in the competitive arena
at the highest level and he has the accolade of representing his
country more times than anyone else and captaining England several
times.

Brown and Horsey can teach people to cast and basic water craft
but also through experienced guiding develop more advanced skills.
Ability and experience will always be matched to the occasion and
venues.

The day starts at 9.00am with breakfast over which the level of
the guests experience are learned and a tailored plan is made
accordingly. Guides are available throughout the day to provide
casting instruction and to teach basics such as tackle selection,
fishing techniques and water craft. After a 3 course lunch the
afternoon continues with fishing and guests can move from one lake
to the other, each one having a different character. The lakes have
both brown and rainbow trout and guests can take home up to four
trout each. Excellent cold smoking facilities are located near by
for those who catch a specimen fish.

The day finishes at 5.30pm with a ‘weigh-in’ of fish
caught and parting celebratory refreshments, drinks and sandwiches
are provided.

Locations include the fabled southern chalk streams; Test,
Itchen, Avon and their tributaries or the challenging large still
waters such as historic Blagdon and near bye Chew in the South West
or the excellent venues in the Midlands.
