When the original film of Billy Elliot was released back in
October 2000 its massive popularity took everyone by surprise as
its a funny, heart-warming feel-good celebration of a young boy's
dream seemed to touch a chord with all. After breaking box office
records worldwide it was nominated for no less than three Golden
Globes, three Oscars and an incredible thirteen BAFTAS.
Now the original multi-award winning creative team Stephen Daldry
(director), Lee Hall (writer) and Peter Darling (choreographer) are
joined by the musical Elton John, one of the most successful
singer-songwriters of the past three decades to put together the
hugely anticipated Billy Elliot - The Musical
